Fear: Blues Style

Yep, I know it’s been ages.  I can’t really sing or play the blues, but right now this is is the song I am hearing, complete with the requisite irrelevant repetitions of baby… and of course, odd punctuation

That Fear she came a callin’
Said I’ll bop you on the head
Then that Fear she quit her stallin’
She done sheathed my heart in dread

So I called up Mr Johnson
Said I got to overcome
Damn that Fear be gone, my darlin’
How the hell I’m gettin’ home?

Said I’ll take that Fear my baby
And I’ll answer her so sweet
What did you have to tell me?
What’s this fate I’m gonna meet?

Oh my dear sweet darlin’ baby
I was protecting you instead
You thought I was your enemy
Man, you gotta go rest your head

Thank you, yes, oh my goodness!
Almost fell into a trap
I could’a dined with you for cent’ries
Love my fear, now, love me back

…finally wrote something…

    Love the music 😉
I have that same little issue…cannot sing nor play for toffee – other than a few chords here and there. But THAT is what poetry is for right? 😀

Loved that! ‘When the music is flowing it is time to celebrate’…shew – you have no idea how apt that is for me right now (and before at other times).
I once did a sketch of joy (painting) and called it ‘When the music came’…..
        Whooooaaaa 😉

Thank you Trish, what’s even better is that I know why I started writing again, it’s way more important than why I stopped.. I think
